Understanding Gods Love: GOING AGAINST GOD

Understanding Gods Love: GOING AGAINST GOD

GOING AGAINST GOD

Submission

SUBMISSION AND AUTHORITY

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

INTRODUCTION
Before we begin. Let me say this: We should not take God's Word lightly. In that I mean; we should not dismiss what God says and do what we think is convenient for us. This is the problem with man and the world in a nutshell.

People say; "oh you're being extreme now" or "stop being so serious" or "get a life" or something along those lines. When we have a "serious" relationship with someone, we take serious things seriously, or there are unpleasant results.
The devils quest is to fool people. He is good at it. He is the God of the world.

As you read on you will discover that not obeying God's Word (His instruction) is rebellion. Rebellion against God. There are NO in betweens with God. It either is or isn't.
Satan was thrown from heaven because he rebelled against God.

REBELLION

This places us against Gods will for us, because we listen to satan and use our circumstances as an excuse. Then we carry on (arrogantly) as though "everything's OK" and when something really serious goes wrong we are quick to go on our knees, criticize, or act stupid. God says we shall reap what we sow.

AUTHORITY

Math 18:18  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

God instructs us to "rise up" against the devil. We are His warriors here on earth. We have the most powerful weapon that exists - Gods Word.

Eph 4:27  Neither give place to the devil.
Authority

He tells us to go out and save His precious souls, to prevent satan getting them.

God gave us tremendous power (speaking His Word to a situation or circumstance) in our authority when Jesus stripped satan, his evil spirits and his demons powers and paraded him and his publicly.

GOING AGAINST GOD

AN EXAMPLE:

A father tells his daughter to call her sister in as it is getting dark outside. The child obeys, goes outside and says to her sister; "Daddy says its getting dark you must come inside". The child replies; I don't have to do what you say you are just my sister and I wont listen to you.Who is the child disobeying? The father.

Part of Gods recipe to achieve His ultimate goal for us is authority. The Bible is the all-time book on authority.
Going against God is rejecting Him. It is competing against His better instruction and Wisdom and trying to overthrow Him as satan tried. Don't try to show God that you know better than Him. Don't be fooled by satan and say, "oh well, I cant because of this or that" or "look what he did to me" or "I don't thinkGod wants me to stay married to that person after blah...blah". That is telling God that you know better than Him.
Ooops...right out of Gods will.

If we obey Gods authority we are satans enemy. If we obey satan we are Gods enemy.
We must not for a second think that because we go to Church, hold a Bible in our hand and worship God that we are living totally for God.If we have any rebellion or difference to what god wants us to do, we are not living totally for Him.

Our actions could be supporting the devil and rebelling against God. Don't get cast down. God gives us freedom of choice to choose life or death. The devil was cast down.

SUBMISSION

Not submitting to Gods authority leads to numerous and serious additional problems.
God placed us in authority so we can learn to submit. First to His Word - to Him - and if we do so, we will learn what value and rewards follow. God know what He is doing. How can we be better informed?

The Covenant

An un-submissive person (un-submissive heart): A child disobeying a parent, a spouse disobeying Gods clear instruction not to get divorced, (hence so many failed marriages and the breakdown of the Body of Christ - His Church) homosexuals told not to lay with one another, an employee refusing to obey an instruction. So it goes on
.
Our actions will be harvested whether we like it or not. Gal 6:7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
