GOD HATES DIVORCE
CHRISTIANS WHO HAVE A SINCERE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD WILL NEVER DIVORCE
1 Cor 12: 7 - 16 - Here God refers to one or other spouse being an unbeliever.
MEANING of UNBELIEVER
apistos
ap'-is-tos
From G1 (as a negative particle) and G4103; (actively) disbelieving, that is, without Christian faith (specifically a heathen); (passively) untrustworthy (person), or incredible (thing): - that believeth not, faithless, incredible thing, infidel, unbeliever (-ing).
He is not discussing Saved Christians where husband and wife are both believers. It is important to understand this.
A married couple who have committed to the greatest covenant with God as witness have made an unbreakable commitment to live life together in eternity.
Not taking the marriage vow seriously is actually breaking a promise to God.
Marriage is vital in Gods plan for humanity and His purpose.
No wonder God hates divorce. Read deeply what God says about divorce.
Malachi 2:16
"The man who hates and divorces his wife," says the LORD, the God of Israel, "does violence to the one he should protect," says the LORD Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.
New Living Translation
"For I hate divorce!" says the LORD, the God of Israel. "To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies. "So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife."

King James Bible
For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: forone covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

This is opening the door for the devil and when things go wrong in life, remember, there is always a price for sin and practicing evil, which may manifest over years. We then wonder "why is this or that happening to me"
Meditate on what God is saying here about divorce and do what is right.
Remember also that Gods Word commands us not to put ANYTHING before Him, not even our spouses, children or family!
